This week Kate Moss and Gigi Hadid shot together for the very first time for Stuart Weitzman's Spring 18 campaign - all hail the power of footwear! Luckily for us the viewing public, Gigi marked the occasion with a series of behind the scenes shots on her Instagram account, each a softly lit black and white affair featuring the supermodel duo draped over each other in unlaced trainers, unbuttoned shirts, and gloriously undone hair. Oh god the hair. Ok let's get talking about that.
First of all, side partings are the way forward this season. Yes Gigi made her initial millions with that 70's style centre part and waves, but for Stuart Weitzman she rocked the look made current in the Topshop Unique SS18, and J.W. Anderson SS18 shows. Kate's look was done to match, the shorter lengths in the front sections of her hair giving off a grown-out-fringe look once they were flipped to one side.
Now onto texture - there was oodles of it. The look was unadulterated bed hair and then some. We're talking volume, kinks, waves - scruffy made sexy. So how do you lock down that do at home? Read on.
It's best achieved on the day you'd normally wash your hair, why? Because you won't feel bad about spraying a shed load of dry shampoo through it. But first reach for your tongs. Curl your hair in large sections so the ringlets drop to waves quickly as they cool. Next reach for your dry shampoo,Batiste, £2.99 is our firm favourite. Spritz it through your roots, and not just the visible ones, the under-layers as well. Ruffle said roots with your fingers to get rid of any sign of powder, as you do that you'll create serious volume - two birds, one stone.
Tip your head upside down and pull your fingers through the lengths, teasing out your waves, before righting yourself and popping in a side parting - don't get pernickety, perfection isn't the aim of the game here.
